Cast off the moorings
It is true that we have to fight the battle of life with passion; but also with peace, without slavery or anxiety, in other words, not allowing things to dominate or enslave us.
When a person lets go of greedy ties or when they truly detach themselves emotionally, that is when their mental faculties begin to function peacefully and without agitation. In this case, the external behavior of this person does not change; but what does change is their internal atmosphere.

The detached person acts with greater certainty in their business, looks at things more objectively, fights the battle of life more passionately but without nervousness or wasting energies. Things or events do not frighten or dominate them instinctively; and since there is no more fear they walk unceasingly from servitude towards freedom. And freedom means giving a free reign to all the creative and benevolent forces that lie in the depths of self.
From the book “The Art of being Happy” by Father Ignacio Larrañaga
