Defeat is impossible for those who surrender

Matters which have a solution are resolved by combating them. Things which have no solution are resolved by surrendering, leaving the impossible in the hands of the Father.

The prayer of surrender, as an act and an attitude, is a high-speed highway that lead us towards all freedom, all holiness, and (why not?) to all happiness.

The prayer of surrender makes one live the most basic elements that constitute the Gospel with great intensity: faith and love.

Father,

I abandon myself in your hands.

do with me what you will.

 Whatever you may do, I thank you.

I am ready for all, I accept all.

Let only your will be done in me, and in your creatures.

 I wish no more than this, O Lord.

Into your hands I commend my soul:

I offer it to you with all the love of my heart,

for I love you, Lord, and so need to give myself,

to surrender myself into your hands without reserve,

and with boundless confidence,

for you are my Father. Amen. (Charles de Foucauld)

And peace will be knocking at the doors of your heart.
