Holy Trinity

O eternal Trinity! You are a bottomless sea into which, the more I sink, the more I find You; and the more I find You, the more I still search for You. Of You I could never say “enough.” The soul which fulfills itself in Your depths, longs unceasingly for You because it is always hungering for You; it is always desirous of seeing Your light in Your light.

Could you give me anything more than Your own self? You are the fire, always burning and never consumed. You are the fire which consumes all selfish love of the soul; You are the light beyond all light. You, the cloak which covers all nakedness; food, that with its sweetness makes all who are hungry happy.

Clothe me, eternal Trinity, clothe me with Yourself that I may live this life in true obedience and in the light of faith with which you have inebriated my soul.
