Let Things Be

When a brother, through observation and meditation, arrives at the vital conviction of the transience of all that surrounds him, when he lets things be and detaches himself emotionally from all that is worthless (he doesn't "care" about what doesn't matter), from that moment on, that brother is filled with a profound peace, just as when the flame of a lamp goes out, the oil being completely consumed.
From the book "El sentido de la vida" by Father Ignacio Larrañaga
