The Luminous Nature of God
God went out from his “boundaries” and gave himself in different times and ways. He accompanied man on the sands of the desert. By day he shielded him against the rays of the sun. By night, he took the form of a brilliant torch to protect him from fear. The Lord planted his tent near man on his journey, close to the palm trees. Moreover, he transformed himself into a sword, and into a trumpet in the mouths of the prophets. He performed incredible exploits.
After such feats, when the times had reached their maturity, he surpassed all imagination, surrendering what he cherished most: his Son.

God sent his only Son into this world
to give us eternal life through him.
We, ourselves, are therefore
the ones who have been loved by God.
He was the first to love us (cf 1 Jn 4:10-19).
If we wish to participate in the luminous nature of God, there is only one way to this divinization: the way of love, because God is Love.
