Toward the interior
There is an oriental poem which says:
“I said to the almond tree:
– Brother, speak to me of God.
And the almond tree blossomed”
However, the Face of God will not blossom that easily. That blessed Face is covered by dense clouds, always distant, beyond the sea of time. We need to place ourselves on watch and row amid the hostile waves of distraction, dryness, advancing ever further into silence with the help of psychological methods in order to reach the center that concentrates and quiets all of the fears of the heart.
