I am your Servant
On the evening of that day, the Poor One from Nazareth, tired and very tense, retired alone to the Mount of Olives. On reaching the cave, he bent his knees, took his head between his hands and supported his elbows on a rock. He remained in this position for a long time while he calmed down. He had the sensation of being at rest upon the rock of the Father. Then he began to pray intensely, concentrating, with slow and halting phrases:
“Adonai, my Lord and Father. One more time I come searching for that oil that distills consolation and communicates vigor, healing wounds. I have always made an effort to capture the language of events that keep your will hidden and in code. My soul cannot rest except in the nook and crook of your will.

And tonight, once more, and now more than ever, I come to place my keys into your hands; where you want, how you want, when you want. Over the ashes of my own will, set ablaze the living fire of redemption. I have already broken my arrow and destroyed my bow. I am no longer the combatant; now I am just a simple and passive battle field. Extend the map of your strategy for salvation over the scenario of my days. I am your Servant: what you want, I also want. And this certainty inundates my ultimate “I” with happiness. Even though there are many ships that sail my coasts and touch my shores, only one rudder guides my ship towards the high seas: your holy will. Release, therefore, your winds; unleash your currents; and carry me wherever you want.”
